On the outer edge of our town is Stone Canyon. A lovely area that is trying to grow through community outreach and service. Last night, hubby and I attended one of their Sunset Concerts. I thought I would share some observations of the evening with you ~

Looks like a nice relaxing evening. It’s wonderful to see communities offer a place for families to spend a little time together. Kudos to those involved to make it happen!
This is their 3rd summer to do this. They did fireworks a couple of weeks ago. There is even a margarita van. Now they DID think of everything! haha
Looks like so much fun. Thanks for the photos. I enjoyed them.
thanks for stopping by today!
Great Pictures! Thanks for sharing.
Thank YOU! Have a good one!
Looks like fun! I love the paint job on that ice cream van. That’s great.
creative people, for sure! and the ice is like eating snow
This looks wonderful!
a great gathering place ~
Ok, I love this. Looks like such a perfect way to spend a summer evening! Your photos capture the gathering so well…and I have to admit, my favorite? That you included the porta-johns…I just laughed out loud and thought, ‘that’s the Paula I’m getting to know….I knew I liked her!”
haha….I had one of a lady going in & then she turned around before closing the door and hubby said “Oh No!” & started walking faster! haha So I didn’t! I have quite a collection of porta potty pics. I may do a post one day!
If you have one you’d like to include….send it my way!
You crack me up – literally! So funny! I will be on the look out porta-pottys worthy of a post for ya..oh, such lofty goals…
I know….a total goof I am ~
Looks like a nice evening, BEAUTIFUL pictures!
Loved the story and all the pictures!! The last two pictures were my favorites!!
Thanks again for sharing!!
Thanks, Dottie. Tonight would have been perfect. Cool temps and clouds!
Ah, you’re in/near Tulsa? I used to live in Lawton… I went to Tulsa on a business trip once… had to go to that place with the three towers that reminded me a little of the world trade centre… what was that called again? It was built by that religious medical guy… or am I just talking crap? LOL
Yes, we are near Tulsa. The towers(world trade centre-haha) used to be the Oral Roberts towers. Now called the Cityplex Towers, I think. I had a knee surgery there. A private hospital owned by several doctors. VERY nice. I have been to Lawton a few times. Loved Mt. Scott and eating at Meers. My grandparents lived in Marlow, so I spent some HOT summer days there.
I liked the nature reserve… we used to go to Medicine Park and admire the view of Mt Scott from there, but then they started to build houses by the river and the view was ruined… grrrr… I have a beautiful photo of before they built the houses though
Medicine Park….yep….I recall that exit sign! Small and beautiful world!
Paula, the photos are great. Love the au naturale face paint too. And of course, i had to skip over the ice cream truck…can’t look at those myself. The Potties were a treat. Who knew?
Glad y’all had fun. Best of luck on the rain yeah?

The little guy reminded me of my boys when they were little. Too cute. One more scheduled “gathering” next week. (if we can stand the heat!) thanks, girl!
