I know….I am rambling. But I’ll leave you with this. “MY” take on Carlene’s take. I used an old music hymnal instead of a book. (Hubby was afraid it might be disrespectful to destroy a hymnal…but I found it at the Goodwill Store…I think I was rescuing it!) After making my first tree, my fingers hurt from tearing the edges off of the paper. I purchased a pair of scrap-book edging scissors ($2.00) to cut the paper for the next tree. I must say it went faster after that bit of help. Also, instead of leaving my squares flat, I crumpled into a wad of paper and then uncrumpled, for a fuller effect. (which really means I was too lazy to tear more pieces!) If you decide to make one, let me know what changes YOU make! Have fun!
Have a great weekend! Be kind one to another ♥
What a cute little tree!
Shabby for sure! 🙂
not shabby at all!
🙂
Hey ….I agree with you…Seriously what a beautiful tree !!!!!
🙂 Such a fun project ~
How clever… I love it!
Hope you are snuggled in and warm in that Norway snow, Maggie! Thanks…this was fun.
Actually, I’m about to go on a suicide mission… I’m heading up the hill again to fetch the mail… in the snow and its blowing a gale! But I NEED to do it. If you don’t hear from me in the next couple of days, I probably blew away… 😉
Ok, Maggie….I need to know if you are back! I can’t believe they mail is delivered in the snow! You are all brave souls!
Cute! Thanks for sharing the crafty links too:)
These ladies have some awesome stuff!
Very cute – but I think I like the puppy a bit more than the tree:)
Me TOO! (She tried to help….but became bored fast!)
A bored terrier is a bad thing
Oh but that is the truth!! Like a three yr old on the loose!
So true – mine are outside defending the homestead right now.
We have an extra pup at the house this weekend….they are now separate rooms. 🙂
I can’t take in visitors – mine are too territorial right now.
The kids are here…..it’s their little rescue pup…..so they have to stay separated or there might be blood.
Smart – you wouldn’t want that to happen.
btw….I sent you a message on you fb photo pg!
I got it – very cool! I’m not much of a landscape shooter but I’m looking to see what I can come up with. Thanks!
🙂
This is so pretty. What a lovely and clever way to recycle an old hymnal. 🙂
thanks….a fun little project 🙂
I love it…crafty you!! 🙂
Plzzzz….I locked myself in the house on black Friday….so this was good therapy! 🙂
On purpose or by accident?? 🙂
LOL! On PURpose! You are funny!

🙂 You are a natural, girl!
Glad someone thinks so!! 🙂

I saw that too and thought I’d try it with one of the captain’s charts, but I’ll have to wait til next year
Oh that would be awesome!
This is very cool, it does make me think of what else could be used as well but I love the music book idea, very charming looking.
thanks…as a music lover…I couldn’t resist! 🙂
That is adorable, and I love the picture that stages the article. I’m going to check out your friends’ blogs, too. Looks like you are having a Merry Christmas. 🙂
They have very creative blogs! And I love that my “pup” likes to assist me in my sloppy endeavors! lol! 🙂
So cute!!! 🙂
