After the craziest and most stressful of weeks ever for my hubby, yesterday was a relaxed and do nothing day. I thought you might like to meet a few of our neighbors we met while on our drive. All shot, with much laziness, from my car window! 🙂
The hawks were out in great numbers yesterday. The wind was calm and the temps were quite warm for January. Try as I might, I could not get a shot of a hawk. And then from afar, I noticed this hawk. I told hubby, “turn here, I see one”…and he laughed and said, “I’ll show you what that hawk is….” It seems the electric company cut around a tree, leaving me a forever hawk. 🙂
HappY Monday! Be nice to people ♥
p.s. If you haven’t found us on Facebook…..look to the right of this post and “like” us! (or follow this link ~ www.facebook.com/sisterstuff ) We post recipes, decorating ideas, and just goofy stuff, sometimes. Would love for you to join us there as well!
I love the hawk… he looks a little sick… maybe even un moving… maybe not a hawk… but you called it one so who am I to argue… glad you had a stress free day, good for you and Hubby…
He is a make belief hawk! haha
Why is it I look to the right of this post and “like” us! to find you on FB… where have you hidden that button…????
So it’s not showing???? Hmmmm….The “LIKE” button shows on my page right underneath the categories. I am technically challenged, so don’t know what to do? ;(
Ok it does not say Like it says stuff i tell my sister… but I’ve now been there and liked your page… but how the hell do I follow it… not good with FB
If you “Liked” it….it should come up in your feed when something new is posted! 🙂 Thanks for trying so hard!
http://www.facebook.com/sisterstuff !!! 😉
I’m going right up to the next person and “be nice to them.” (not that I’m not always nice….)
haha! good for you! sometimes it’s a challenge! 🙂
How sad that you missed all the smells! Thanks for the reminder about facebook – hello 😉
Oh….but the smells were there! haha…. I cringe and hubby says….it smells like money. 😉
Filthy lucre?
haha! In every way!
That’s quite a variety of neighbors you have!
haha!
😉 and they pretty much keep to themselves!
Well, that Hawk pic sure fooled me…. Hubby certainly has a keen eye…!
Nice post and pics; very cute animals…. 😉
He told me he had noticed it many times before…. I don’t know where I was?!? 😉
Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
thanks Diana….shots from the car window! 😉
I know and they’re great!
thanks…..
That hawk sounds like the black plastic dog my mom saw in the gutter. 😆 Nice looking neighbours you have.
😉 a little imagination! 😉
What lovely neighbours you have!
🙂
I loved the “forever hawk” !! Very funny !!
😉 I’m sure wanted it to be real!
It looks like you at least bothered to roll down the window:) Fun set! Glad you had a great Sunday!
Oh that I did…I even stood up through the sunroof….but I did stay in the car!! 🙂 It was so nice out yesterday! And pretty cold here today!
It was gorgeous here yesterday too and it was sooooo cold last night. I do my share of in-car shooting 🙂
Sometimes it works! Other times….you get a dead stick hawk.
It’s not a dead stick unless you tell someone it is.
okay…forget I said that!
forget what?
exactly…..shhhhhhh
What a good way to relieve stress…a visit to your neighbors. You have some interesting ones! 🙂
haha! and really great ones, too! 😉
So glad you two could have some down time together and your photos from the window are great! You make couch potatoes everywhere look bad! Love the ‘hawk’ – no matter if it’s real or what..sometimes we need to see what we need to see in life! 🙂 xox
Ty u Bonnie. Our internet server is down in Ok today….so I attempt comments from my phone. Oh my! 😉
You are brave..even I don’t attempt that {it never seems to work for me!} 🙂
Ugh….will have to fix typos later! Still no server.
Hahahaha … It took reading through the comments for me to realize that wasn’t a hawk! Your husband’s comment made sense to me then. 🙂 So glad you had a nice day on Sunday.
😉 I can go visit this hawk anytime…same place!
Your neighborhood looks so much like ours!!! I love the drive. That seems to be what I have always done in my family to relieve stress. No wonder I want an electric car!!! I had to take a second look at the forever hawk because you apologized for the pictures. I mistakenly thought you had posted a pretty bac picture of a hawk. Since I have not been greatly successful about photographing birds, I thought nothing of it until I read the comments!! I thought, “I’d better go back and have a look at that hawk!!!” Glad I did. What a “hoot”!! Have a great week-end coming up!!! Lots of love I mean LIKE!! I’ll go right now… Like Like Like from Marsha 🙂
We love being close to a big city, but closer to the country. Best of both worlds. My hawk….lol. one day I will get a real one! 😉
You have way too much fun!!! 🙂 Thanks for taking us with you!!! 🙂 M
No YOU have too much fun! 😉
We could go on a trip together!!! Where should we go???? I’ve never been to OK, TX, MS, LA (the state), AL. It would be fun. We could bring hubbies, Manny, and other family members. Just a nice thought!!! 🙂
All great states, too! Sounds like fun 😉
Love your sharings about your Sunday drives! They have a beautiful energy. Thank you!
Thanks….it is a “hobby” to take these drives 😉 Very relaxing ~
It is a beautiful “hobby”! And very inspiring, too!
