Easter Dogs

The “girls” pups will turn seven the end of this month.  Even with a soggy yard, we continued with our tradition of  the egg hunt.  Trust me when I say, you wouldn’t appreciate the goodies tucked inside the eggs, but they certainly do.  So much so, we had to do it twice!easter 2013 001

My dad often says that our dogs have no idea they are dogs. He is probably right. And at this point in their lives, I guess we won’t tell them.

So WELCOME to APRIL!  YAY! Have a great week. And be nice to people. You never know what they may be dealing with today. ♥

  1. Now I’m asking the obvious question – what did you put in them? And “no chance they’ll eat the plastic, I hope?

    • Itty bitty treat bits…kind of a chex mix for dogs. AND they don’t really chew like they used to…but we still watch them closely and “gather” the eggs right after the pups empty them. Good questions! 😉

  2. I am curious as well as to what you put in the eggs. Looked like they had a great time though!

That looks like too much fun – I’m afraid Velcro would simply bury them.

I won’t tell your dogs if you won’t tell mine!

Never seen anything like … it, but they enjoy it and that is the main thing. Doggy egg hunt, brilliant …

  6. Aww I love this! I used to wrap doggie treats at Christmas just to watch my dogs rip ’em open, tails a wagging!

  7. This is just the best activity! How adorable they are! 🙂 And what fun you even think to do this!

  8. bulldog says:

Till 2 years ago my wife and I thought the only grand kids we would get from my son and his wife was dogs, His dogs were treated like humans and I’m convinced they thought they were… loved this post, made me think of him…

  9. Bo Lumpkin says:

I love this idea. When people say Molly, my weiner dog, is just a dog I usually tell them, “She might be a dog, but she is not JUST a dog.

  10. I think your dogs had more fun than my grands! thanks for sharing! 🙂

  11. Too funny, I’ve never seen a doggie Easter egg hunt before!

  12. So glad I saw this before your pictures disappeared. They aren’t all showing for me today. But those dogs are adorable, and to have an Easter Egg Hunt for them is genius! 🙂
