The last time I blogged, I was hiding in my room from clouds of grout dust. (Vacation?) Since then it’s been go~ clean~ move~ go~ and “have you seen??…..” The father-son craftsmen that put our floor down were a breath of fresh air. An unbelievable work ethic. Amazing.

While not everything is put back together, the big job is finished. We are pleased. And now we will spend these last few days of this week seeking out a little fun and relaxation. I’ll let you know if we find it!
Today I thought of each of you….I thought of what I say to you at least once a week. I had to remind myself to practice what I preach. “Be Nice to People. You Never Know What They May Be Dealing With.” Thanks guys….you make me a better person. Have a wonderful rest of the week, friends.

Your hubby is so sweet. 🙂 It took several days, but Rich has repaired the motorcycle, and we are still packing boxes to ship my used book business out of here on Saturday. Our son will be down to help, and then the three of us are going out to dinner. I am so excited to start my new life on May 1st. A clean house and all the time to write that I want.
I have a feeling we will meet one day, Paula. 🙂
Good for Rich! Bet you are both feeling great about the repairs being finished. Our house is on it’s way to being “spring cleaned”. Of course, we were FORCED into it…..but now I am inspired to finish the entire thing next week. YaY for you! A new life and you can go help Susan, as well! (btw, hubby says half was is Arkansas….does that work for you?!?!)
We are in NE Ohio – Near the Akron area. I think halfway is more likely around St. Louis, Missouri. Maybe this fall!
Have you ever thought of relocating so our halfway could be, oh, maybe Hawaii?

I understand. I’ve had a pond in my front yard for about 4 weeks and we got another deluge last night! Unfortunately, the weeds have continued to grow underwater and the slime is awful! What a mess and it will take me forever to mow it when it finally dries out. I usually end up getting my mower stuck in the mud several times before I get it all done.
The only up side is all the lovely bullfrogs singing in my front yard!

Stunning flooring … coming from the country with wooden floors since stone age *smile –
We tried this with fully carpet for a couple of years and then we went back to our wooden boards.
Moving to UK they had fully carpet in bathrooms too and kitchen … couldn’t believe it. The room gets a glow to it .. and looks so much brighter … fantastic job. I can understand why you are pleased with it. it’s Oak ????? Have a great weekend now and enjoy your lounge and floor.

Spectacular new look with the floors. I’m repeating what everyone else has said but there isn’t a “like” button like in Facebook.
😉 The only “down” side is that since we have two dogs and it is raining today….we are having to an extra amount of paw wiping! Of course, they don’t care one way or the other! 😉
