As I am ending my Saturday evening, the rain is beginning to fall. Hoping it rains all night long. That will most certainly make this little Lamb’s Ear a happy camper! Have a great “rest of the weekend”. ♥

Stunning!
Beautiful plants…..Happy Sunday!!!
I have some of that in the yard. The leaves sure are soft.
Softer than a rabbit’s fur!
Come work in my garden?! 🙂
I’ll do it!!!!
I echo Bonnie — care to come work in my garden? 🙂
It’s great therapy for me….unless the hornets are out….in which case I just can’t do it!!!! 😉
Lovely captures .. don’t know the plant.. looks beautiful..
They thrive in the heat and grow enough each year that I have plenty to share with my neighbors. So so soft….
I have never seen lamb’s ears. They’re awesome!
They are like little stuffed animals….or kitties…. so soft!!
They sure look like ears, it’s awesome that they are soft as well!
😉
I didn’t know they bloomed; then again, I can’t get them to grow. Brown Thumb you know.
You could grow these Darla…..mine started out in the backyard and were taking over….so I gave most of them away and move a tiny one to the front yard….and gave more of it away….and still have tons. Will save you one for next year:)
I’ve killed chicks and hens and sweet potato vines and lambs ears and hostas and you name it. I think my front garden has bad soil and I’ve spent a ton adding stuff to it to make it better. Plus it only gets light on one tiny corner, but even the shade plants have died.
Well then UNCLE, Darla…. maybe you just need pretty rocks. 😉
I DO have a pretty fair collection of those going, But dang if one of my grands didn’t break one of my prettiest ones in half! I can’t win for losing! LOL
But now you have TWO! 🙂
This is so true. She was so afraid I would be mad, I tried to give her the other half so she could have it at home, but she wanted me to keep it.
Awe…. a good surprise gift for her for another day.
good idea!
You would always be welcomed to work in my garden. Beautiful!
Why thank you 😉
That first one is magical! Gorgeous shots.
Thank you….went out to mow the yard…ended up with the camera. 😉
Haha! 😛
🙂
You are so, so talented!!
I stick em in the ground….God does the rest. 😉
Oh dear! I wish I’d taken the time to look up lamb’s ear earlier. I asked a friend what I had growing in my wildflower garden and she told me it was lamb’s ear. I asked if it bloomed and she told me no so I pulled it up and tossed it out. Your photos are wonderful but I especially like your photos of flowers.
Well perhaps you’ll have one sneak back in next spring. They are resilient little guys.
Thanks Sheri ~ I love the flowers as well….;)
Great captures with the bee – what lens are you using?
That was just my zoom to x300….cause I’m a big chicken.
Ahhhhh – so no macro bee shots – chicken!
Oh you know I am!!! bok~bok~bok~bok~bok
I was telling my niece last week not to worry about them and to just shoot – when they are feeding on nectar like that you are completely unimportant to them.
Good advice……for your niece 😉
*sigh* I haven’t seen rain in months! But the little Lamb’s Ears are so pretty, and I hope they got a nice drink of water!
We were so thrilled to have this rain!!! Though it wasn’t much…it was still a gift! Oh I hope you get some soon!
Love the up close and personal photo of the lamb’s ears. Never knew so many colors in that flower stalk. Lamb’s ears are one of my favorites–I’m putting them on my list for my next nursery visit. Hope you got needed rain. We have some to share here in Georgia. Lightning took out my internet connection taking three days to get up and going again.
Well if you lived closer I would sure share my lamb’s ear with you in the spring! We just got a smidge of rain….but my folks in Moore (just two hours away…) got 4 + inches. Oh I hate when the we lose our internet…..three days is a long time to be disconnected. But some good reading time!!
