I love that photo of the 4 young boys looking at the flag. My first thought was….I hope they don’t have to go to foreign shores to fight another country’s battles. On a happier note, we made an old time crank freezer full of delicious ice cream on the 4th. I was reminded of my dad, who probably ever so willingly cranked that old freezer every weekend during the summer when I was a kid….way back in the “middle ages”. Yes it’s more work than going to the market and buying ice cream, but I’m tellin’ you, nothing tastes better. Does anyone out there know the date of a “Porter Hand Freezer”? I tried to find out on Google…no luck.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Thank you! You tooooooo!
At times, we seem to forget what it is all about…
Yes we most certainly do….not til we see it slipping away….
A Happy 4th to you and yours my dear southern neighbor! 🙂

Thank you, friend. Quite a week of celebrations, huh? ♥
I’ll never give up my freedom.
