There were things I didn’t tell you
While you were still beneath my wing….
Some because you would not listen and some,
because I did not yet know…..
Birthday Blessings, my son. ♥

Happy birthday to your son, happy day of celebrating your years of being a great mom!
Thank you, Bonnie. Not so sure about the “great” part…. but I did try. 🙂
Fantastic piece of prose … I have written it down.
Happy Birthday to your son.
Thank you so much….for both! ♥ Take care!
Hope your son had a wonderful day for his birthday.
From what I understand his weekend and “day” were terrific….and I guarantee he is not through celebrating! 🙂 Thank you!
Terrific birthday wishes for your son.
🙂 ty, Sheri ♥
Happy Birthday Chi. (where the heck is that Schwans man anyway??)
We ate too much ice cream….he left.
Happy Birthday to your son – and thank you for always thinking of mine 🙂
Your heart for your son shows in your writings …. he’s a lucky kiddo to have you. 🙂 And you him…..
Thanks. I often dream of him. There’s a lot of love that a parent feels for their child that often goes unexpressed.
Amen brother….
I love the last part. How true. Fortunately our relationships don’t end when kids grow up and leave the nest. Mom and I were best friends until she died. She never stopped learning, nor did I, and unfortunately, I didn’t always listen – even when I was 55 and she was 80. Yikes! 🙂 Happy birthday to your son. 🙂
Thanks for the b-day wishes. And you are right….our relationships are ever growing and changing…..and we are ALWAYS learning! 🙂
Happy Birthday to your son. I loved the beautiful prose.

So true and sweet and a teeny sad and very beautiful all at the same time, Paula.
I look at my grown-up babies…..where did time go? Really?! 😉
I feel the same way!
I know, my dear. A happy/sad thang. (Okie talk)
