So grateful to our Veterans. Proud and thankful for my father, father-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, and so many other friends and family that have served or are serving. Blessings ♥

I was asked yesterday, “How do you say thank you to a Veteran?”

From your heart.  Just thank them from your heart.

A kind word or gesture.

Hand over heart at the passing of the flag.

A meal.

Coffee.

An ear to listen.

A flag on their grave to honor their sacrifice. veterans 047veterans 046veterans 049veterans 048veterans 051

Lest We Forget…

Proudly honoring our veterans today.  and always.  Thank you ♥

If you are a veteran, we thank you for your service. We are also grateful for the many special veterans in each of our lives.  Please feel free to add your name(s) and your thoughts in the comment area. ♥

  1. bulldog says:

    and never forget a smile… I know I appreciate that…

  2. Definitely, “Thank them from your heart.” I’m remembering members of my own family who sacrificed their lives in the World Wars. I never met them, but I’ll always be grateful to them.

  3. We can never thank them enough. On a side note, I’m not embarrassed to say tears still well in my eyes whenever I hear this music. It even happened when we went to see John Williams conduct the L.A. Philharmonic Live at the Hollywood Bowl… I still can’t fully explain why, except that it makes me think of my grandfather, who was very lucky to survive WWI, and of all the souls who have lost their lives as a result of war.
