Hubby and I watched, “We Bought a Zoo” a few evenings ago. To be honest, neither of expected much from the film. And isn’t it good to have low expectations? That way any positive is a bonus! We were pleasantly surprised with the “whole” of the movie. In fact, it left us both with a challenge to each other that we were talking about the next day. “Twenty Seconds of Courage.” That might be all the time it takes to do something great, save a life, or even turn your own life around.
Yesterday, when I was approached by my hubby to jump into a helicopter
and I am the biggest chicken in the world when it comes to flying, the first thought in my head was, “NO”. Then my mouth said, “Well, hurry and pay so I don’t change my mind.” And he did. And up we went. I’m still here to tell ya about it, too!
I talked to our youngest son a little later on the phone. Here is a bit of the conversation, son ~ “What are you guys doing?” me ~ “I just flew in a helicopter.” son ~ “Is everything alright?!?!?” I think he thought we’d been med-flighted! He knows my fears that well…..:)
Twenty Seconds of Courage. Try it. Happy Tuesday!
that seems like Monday to me! ♥
