I found a big red box of goodies the other day. The moment I eyed the box, I knew what was inside and grew eager to open the lid. The box was filled with well wishes, smooshed balloons, blessings and oh so many memories. The occasion? The celebration of our eldest son’s birth!
With each card I opened, I found myself smiling at the remembrance. And with fondness, I thought of each person who bestowed these words and gifts upon our brand new little guy. There were names I had not recalled in ages. But each holds a special place in my heart, even today….as we celebrate his 27th birthday.
Happy Birthday my little red-headed, Mad. Your dad and I love you forever and for always. We are proud of you and the joy and laughter and sometimes hair-pulling you have filled our lives with. You will always be our favorite American idol. ♥
(Take a listen….it would be the best birthday gift you could ever give my little boy 🙂 ) Happy Sunday !
