In My Own Little Corner

In my own little corner in my own little chair, I can be whatever I want to be…

Cinderella

Cinderella was one of my favorite musicals as a little girl.  I can still sing most of the lyrics from it by heart.  I’m not sure how old I was, but I finally did figure out that it wasn’t  about the delicate glass slippers or the pumpkin or the prince.  It was all about the journey…

Be nice to people. ♥ You never know what they may be dealing with ~

Love that last shot, nice set and sentiment. You mean Cinderella wasn’t about finding comfortable shoes?

  5. Great shots, love them all! Really like the old man and the young child one!

  6. I love the Cinderella carriage…

  7. How true! I love the pictures and how thjey convey an exterior which does not always reflect the interior. It reminds me of the statement “where ever I may be, there I am.”

These are wonderful images! Thank you ~

  9. Paula, that is my favorite version of Cinderella ever. The Disney version never did it for me. When Stuart Damon sang Do I Love You Because You’re Wonderful (with Leslie Ann Warren), I swooned. The entire version is online at YouTube. I could sing all the songs, too. You can’t beat Rodgers and Hammerstein. Thank you for bringing up this wonderful memory.

    • Your picture of the woman sitting alone kinda got to me. Was she wondering how she was going to pay the bills this month? Was she wishing someone in her family cared enough to get in touch with her? Was she missing someone she used to love? Has life passed her by and she never did have a glass slipper?

    • Maddie ~ I replied to you earlier….& somehow it went to Diana! I love this song you’ve mentioned as well….and also love “Impossilbe”! (to which Diana replied, “What song?” lol) Singing as I go….confusing folks along the way, as well!

  10. I knew I liked you! 🙂

  11. That little boy is adorable!

  12. This is an excellent post, Paula. Best yet! Simply eloquent, and beautifully illustrated.
