When you enter the Ozarks, there’s a reason they tell you to BUCKLE UP. The roads wind and curve in every direction. Perfect for pretending you are a race car driver. Not so perfect if you get motion sickness or are afraid of heights…
There are many wonderful thinkers, photographers and writers in this blog world. Last year when I became acquainted with The Eff Stop’s photography, it didn’t take more than a second to recognize that Lorri’s talent was much deeper than her fabulous eye. Her humor, story telling and love of animals brought a heart-felt connect. I just kinda figured we would meet in person one day. Last week on our extended road trip…..Hubby and I were blessed that our road connected with Lorri. And while we could have been ax murderers, for all she knew, she was brave enough to have lunch with us….and then meet again later!
Meet Lorri! Yep….behind the camera ~
Paula and Lorri (NOT behind the camera!)
A Lorri Carter Canvas ON MY WALL!
Such a pleasure to meet Lorri in person. There are so many friends out there we’ve yet to know. So many treasures just waiting. Just follow the road before you…..or maybe even take a little detour…
Have a great week and be nice to people! ♥ www.theeffstop.com
How great!! And the shots rock, as always.
🙂 This was such fun!
What a treat! Looks like you had a wonderful day. Love the photos. We will meet, too, one day. 🙂
Yes. We. Will!
I crack up when i see the signs that say “crooked and steep” …. ok.
Scared me when I was a kid….still does!
You need to try Highway One in California…then you could stop and meet me:) There may be some winding parts, but the scenery is breathtaking! Happy travels always:)
I would LOVE to travel highway ONE and come find you, Jeannette! Keep the light on for me!
You could stop in Phoenix to meet Delores on the way <3. Porch light is always on:)
I have actually thought about that many times, Jeannette. Would love to meet you BOTH in real life ♥
How I wish I could take a small detour and end up there near you… but it’s this big stretch of water that my car won’t tackle…
I wish you could too, Bulldog! Would love to show you and Linda our world. Could you just ferry over? 🙂
OMG! That’s so awesome and it makes perfect sense for the both of you to meet! Thanks for sharing the photos (I’m smiling ear-to-ear)
She’s way cool….yep….even cooler than on her blog. And she did not pay me to say that. Not yet. 🙂
only accept cash!
lol!
Fantastic! Going to see her, too–on her blog. Your last photo is my favorite flower!
Well tell her ‘Hi” 🙂 My snap of her canvas does not do it justice. It is bright and detailed…..just like the real deal. Just like Lorri 🙂
I’ve met my share of axe murderers so I was pretty sure I was safe with you guys 😉 it was so much fun to meet you guys, I’m so glad you made a stop in my neck of the woods. As for that glowing endorsement, do you take credit cards?
🙂 Truly…..the woods. And you know I do!!!
Your post only proves that as become passionate about seeking certain things in life, the Universe connives to make that happen. Your meeting up with Lorri only proves that. So even this virtual blog world can moult itself into reality.
Loved the pictures!

Great and what a joy to read about your “date” … I’m bit envy that you have met one of your blogging friend in person – I met one of mine for the first time this spring .. fantastic! I have said that if I ever win that big amount on lottery will I travel the world and meet up with my dearest friends that belongs to my world here.
Great post about friendship that happens … along the way.
One of my best friends I met on a dating website for about 10 years ago .. the world is truly small at times.
Let me know how when you win! 🙂 Wouldn’t it be fun to dash from town to town….country to country….or better yet just ONE. BIG. PARTY!
Fantastic….your 10 yr friend….again….when we don’t box ourselves in, good stuff happens!
Hope you are feeling better today, ♥ psb
Yes, when the big win comes .. we are going to have a massive party … *smile Promise.
I liked her profile name .. and wrote to her .. and from there our friends was born. I have always said that if she had been a man I would have married her. *laughing
Not so good news about me .. are in horrific pain today and now I will try to dance some zumba this evening. Doubt it, but I will give it a go .. Not on a good place just now. Thank you so much for your concern.
Party…..yes! Friendship….awesome! Zumba while your are in such pain….hmmmm….be careful and feel better ♥
No it didn’t work with Zumba …. did 2 dance and then I went home. *smile
I can’t Zumba when I’m well! Yoga is my go-to….
I’ve told you before, you should visit after the summer months. Right now it is perfect here in the desert. Then you could drive on to Jeannette’s in cool central CA. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a huge stuffitellmysister reunion and meet all the people we read after? I love riding through Arkansas…thanks for reminding how beautiful it is. xxoo
You and Jeannette have the same idea, Delores! What a party we could have 🙂
It is a little scary to meet a fellow blogger for the first time! I had my first meeting a couple of weeks ago, and I’ll try to post about it soon. I really enjoyed reading about yours. Thanks for sharing, Paula.
I think I would really enjoy Lorri, too. Thank you for the introduction, Paula.
Oh you will….she is an amazing person! Glad to connect the two of you 🙂
I agree with Bulldog , would love to go there.
I look at the photos from your area and am amazed at the beauty there….. It’s just fun to visit different places though! Take care, Linda ♥
Paula, What a great story! I am jealous. I love Lori and her work. She has helped my photography so much. What fun is this?! xox
Well don’t be jealous….but isn’t she amazing?!?! Bloggers are real people. Who knew?! 🙂
