About Being Thankful

color birdThanksgiving Eve.  I have typed and deleted my words about five times now.  My heart is thankful, but there are many things that need to change.  Things that I cannot control.

So I will dwell on the good.  Blessings beyond belief.  A God that loves me.  Good health. A wonderful family.  A hubby that loves me and puts up with more than he should to provide for our family.  Dear friends. The sweetest neighbors in Oklahoma.  Laughter. Music.  Food in the pantry.  Two little dogs that require me to do much more laundry and mopping than I’d like to….but then they give me that look, or bring me the frisbee to play….and … well….you know. Then there are the friends, acquaintances and amazing connections that have come together all because of blogging.   Never did I expect this!

On this Thanksgiving Eve…..I am sincerely grateful for you.  May your heart reflect on the good and be filled with His many blessings. May you forever remember to be kind to others every day.  We truly never know what they may be going through.  Happy Thanksgiving, friends ♥

Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, – a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.

      • Now it is the night of Thanksgiving and our tummies are more than full, and we have had a chance to be thankful for what the Lord has given us. We need to spend more than one day a year counting our blessings. I’m really thankful for your meditations, Miss Paula. They come from a deep place within you, and make us all want to be more kind and thoughtful to those around us who may be suffering in some way. Bless you!
