Well it seems I’m a little late coming to the party this year! Regardless, I wish each of you a better year than the last.
I hope that if you are trying to find that certain someone or something in your life, that this will be your year. (understanding of course, you must work to do so….no sitting around and waiting!)
I pray that if your heart hurts from loss, that you find peace and resolve. I pray that we remember to mourn with those who mourn.
I hope our hearts are always open to need, and that we will feed those who are hungry, and clothe those who are bare.
If you have caused hurt to someone, try to make it better. Even if it means leaving them alone.
Our year is brand new! I am grateful for another day of life. Another day with hubby. Another day with my children, family and friends. and pups! Another day to try to turn me into someone who can make a difference for the good.
Be nice to others. You never know what they may be dealing with in their lives. Happy New Year, my friends! ♥
“Another day to try to turn me into someone who can make a difference for the good.” You DO make a difference for the good. Thank you for making my life better. May your heart be filled with joy every day of the new year.
Russ
Bless you and yours, Russ. ♥
Paula, thank you so much for the heart-touching words … yes, if we can only make a little difference to one person each day. Give them a smile or help them with a shopping bag. If we all did that .. our world would start slowly to change.
Paula, I wish you only the best for and I hope 2014 will touch you gently.
Thank you, Viveka ♥ My very best to you!
What Russ said, its true, you make a world of difference for everyone around you, near and far. Mine included!! I like your perspective on starting out a new year. Happy New Year to you and Hubby!
And to think….if not for this blog….we’d never have those long (and sometimes goofy) midnight conversations. Love to you and B! ♥

Thank you Sue! Happy 2014! paula ♥
The ice crusted branches remind me of my years in Indiana…..beautiful… and the ice storms we experienced on occasion – electricity usually went out. But we were ok with candles and fireplace. Don’t see that often in NC. Happy New Year. Sue

Thank you, Bulldog….and to you and Linda ♥
Miss Paula, you are wise beyond your years. Thanks for the reminders about being kind and thoughtful. I loved that photo of the country road. Happy Healthy New Year to you and good Hubby. Every day is a gift, and sometimes we need to be reminded of that.
Appreciate you Delores, happy happy new year to you and your sweet hubby. AND a belated Happy Birthday!!! hugs ♥
Happy New Year!! 🙂
♥
Thanks for the birthday greeting. So far, 82 doesn’t feel much different than 81. I’m just trying to keep the cobwebs out of my head by staying busy and creative.xxoo
You will never have cobwebs, Delores…. I could never keep up with you either! ♥
Lovely sentiments, Paula. I fear this may be a hard year for us. My mother is not doing well since her fall in August. She may not be able to live on her own much longer. I’m actually grateful that our son is back home with us. I think it is good for him and Rich both. I hope Marvin is able to rest a bit now. I’m looking forward to more of your “day trips” in 2014. 🙂
I am so sorry to hear your that you mother is not doing well, Maddie. Keep me posted. Hubby has inventory…and then still to find a co-manager. Until then…..six long ole days a week. (and seven on inventory week) I don’t know how he does it, but I am ready for him to be home….so we can GO! 🙂
Have you checked your email? Amazon – book from me. 😉
Thank you SOOOOO much! My first book of the year to enjoy! ♥
Oops! Never mind. 🙂 The last time I checked, it was unclaimed. Carry on.
