Beautiful, beautiful pictures, as always. Hoping that Malachi and Angie are as accomplished photographers; can’t wait to see their pictures of Ireland, etc. You have a good Wednesday too, Paula!
Thanks, Christi ~ Angie has a great camera & has taken a course now….so am guessing their Ireland pics will be awesome. and GREEN! They are so excited! What a wonderful way for them to celebrate 4 yrs. I think at our 4 yr we went to dinner maybe? π Stay in and think COOL today.
Well in Tulsa it’s I-44 and 244. Construction guaranteed! In OKC you have I-35 fun. I hate driving in downtowns. ONE WAY means different things to different folks! So I always have a chauffeur. π You should visit during one of the downtown festivals. A LOT of fun. (May Fest/ Blue Dome Fest)
Plan to! I’ve also heard a lot about the farmers market. I’ll definitely check that out sometime. (As you can tell, I have problems determining which highway gets me to which city. You don’t even wanna know how I get in a downtown area! My husband’s a mapmaker so he’s the directional talent in this family.)
Awesome! I love photographing Tulsa! In fact, I got a warning for photographing the Federal building. First, I wouldn’t want to be in that crane! Second, I love the door! Doors are one of my favorites to photograph! Third, The reflection shot is totally awesome. It is so hard to get really good refection shots and that one is really good. The angle, the lighting, everything was great. Lastly, where where you perched to get the steeple shot? I’ve shot that church before from the ground and it was an up angle. I love the straight on shot.
Good work, I’m proud of how far you have come with your photography!
Glad you liked, Darla….I cannot tell ya where I was perched. “IF” and I don’t recall, we were in the truck that day, I was probably in the back of it. I do a lot of shooting thru the sunroof and from the truck bed. I just shoot a bunch and hope some of them will turn out. Thanks for the encouraging words. Much to learn, but just having fun ~ π
Next thing we know you will be taking photos for “The National Geographic”! the last time I was in downtown Tulsa, I was about 12 years old (68 years ago!) and my Aunt Opal was taking me to lunch on the top floor of some big dept. store, and I remember looking out at all the tall buildings. I loved your selection. I hope you are making a portfolio…good job!
Great shots..and I love getting a little glimpse of where you call home! Love the one of the building with the flag in the window reflection! Great idea too!

What wonderful shots. The textures are superb.
thanks so much….a bit overwhelming in any downtown, too much and difficult to capture ~ but fun trying! π
Loved the photos! Great eye Paula:)
ty, Jeannette ~ good driver! (who is used to me hopping out of the car!)
I’m impressed! I never knew Tulsa was that big. I’ll have to visit soon, though I’ve heard horror stories about I-35 on and off ramps.

Both downtowns are awesome and unique. And how fortunate that you can never get lost! π
