Same story every day, right now. Extreme. Heat. Drought. Many times, living in Oklahoma, I have heard the phrase, “It’s so hot outside, you could fry an egg!” So day before yesterday, when I took my hubby some lunch, I hijacked him to the back of his store and told him, “We are going to fry eggs.” He had no choice but to play as he was a passenger victim in my car!
So here was try # 1: One on asphalt, one on concrete.
Yuck. Fifteen minutes later, not much.
Attempt 2, yesterday:This time on foil to hopefully help the “fry”.
If you like over easy….then yes, it worked. Kinda.
And dinner is served! It only took two and a half hours! But the point is, we tried it. And it’s gotta be pretty darn hot to make this happen! Nope. Didn’t eat them ~ But then, you knew that~ 🙂
Have a great Friday! And be nice to people. And maybe do something silly….just cause you can!!! hubby still shaking head back and forth
An unusual sighting last night. A cloud ~ What does this have to do with eggs? Absolutely nothing!
and this is why I like you. ;=)
hahaha!
You are so fun! I wish, my mind worked like yours; I tend to dwell on the sad things in life. My loss. Hey speaking of clouds, its thundering and cloudy at my house and a cool 84 degrees! There is also a cool breeze! (well, cool for me). I’ll take it!
A cool 90 here….just mowed the front yard and headed out to the back…..Come on RAIN! The kids got rain in MO!
Life is an adventure, Darla. Everyday! 🙂
Now, if you’d tried putting down a sheet of metal the day before, it might have worked…
Probably right! I am not that dedicated to the project ~ lol 🙂
We sometimes wonder whether the heat of the tarmac in Italy last month (56 Celsius = 138 Fahrenheit) might have done the job, but we didn’t have any eggs 😉
From my reading, the temp needs to be 158 F. So am betting you could get over easy at least. You’ll have to start toting eggs with you! lol!
I have often thought about trying this, but never did!! Glad you got your yard mowed. Have not felt good this week, so think my yard is going to have to wait awhle. Did get out early and did some watering……Don’t know where Darla lives, but sounds nice….still praying for rain 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend…..stay cool 😀 ha ha!!! 😛
I mowed the front….and “spot” mowed what was still alive in the back. I skipped last week. Stay in and cool…Darla is close to where you guys used to live in Tri-City. Kids got lots of rain last nite and are headed to the NW AR airport…driving in the rain. At least someone is getting some rain. EVERYONE is in need. Later girl…feel better ♥
What a fun project! Were those temperatures really true? Is it really 115 and 116 where you live?
Yes….yesterday it actually reached 117 in downtown Tulsa. We have clouds today though. It’s a cool 98 and we will take it!
love love love this!!! You are just the best. I love that you actually DID what is just part of so many passive comments. You read between the lines well!! ♥
lol! Oh the stories I could tell you. And some I COULDN’T tell you! lol
Oh, but those are probably the best ones! 🙂
🙂
I’ve heard that expression too… and now we know 🙂
Thanks for clarifying that up for us!
I bet you did great in science class 🙂
It’s all about raising too curious boys….or THREE! 🙂
yes:)
LOL That’s brilliant!! Why didn’t Mythbusters do this?? 🙂
haha….it was one HOT experiment! 🙂
I cannot stop laughing! 😆
haha…..so glad I made you laugh ~ 🙂
Thank you for sharing the fun experiment with us!
