A few weeks ago, we spent an afternoon at the Blue Dome Festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This festival tends to be relaxing, fun and always quite interesting! Art, music, food and fun for all ages.
Chalk art on the street seemed to entice many to display their creative abilities.
We laughed as we watched a young man proudly writing out a phone number between the white lines for all to view. Hmmmm….wonder if it was truly his number? A friend’s number? A business? I wonder if anyone called it? Or WILL call it? 😉
Our stroll through downtown ended on a special “note”. I slipped the flutist a few dollars to play something special for hubby. And BOY DID HE!!! Ten minutes later we were still standing there, in the heat and wind ~ sweating, listening and smiling….while hubby asked me under his breath, “Just how many dollars did you give him?” Worth. Every. Dime. 🙂
Have a great weekend! And be nice to people. ♥
Love it… the things women do for their husbands… wonderful…
haha!
What great fun.
We look forward to it each year!
That looked like a lot of fun.
A great place to “people” watch. 😉
Great post! I actually have a post in the works from our experience at the festivals that weekend also. Lol! Something always amazing happens to us when we go! Lol!
May Fest, Blue Dome Fest….Guthrie Green….so much awesome Tulsa fun! Maybe we’ll see each other at the next gathering??!! Have a great weekend! Paula ♥
Hey, yeah that’d be awesome!
Happy Shooting!!
Ha! I recognize that area code. It’s from South Florida!
Really?!?! How funny. I haven’t called him yet….but I may just for reaction! 😉 Cute guy….but am guessing he may have been pranking someone!
Lovely pictures, I’ve joined your blog so I get to see more! 🙂 Thank you for joining mine too. 🙂 Hey – also liked your repost of the Hammer Song, it wouldn’t let me comment…
SO glad know you, Debb!! Sorry it wouldn’t let you comment. If I had any tech skills I might figure it out….but alas….I have NONE! 😉 Look forward to following you! Have a great weekend! 😉
Hey – can I pretend you’re my sister? My only sibling, a sister, died in 1994 at the age of 39. 😦 That’s why I like WordPress, it feels like we’re family on here! 🙂
I am so, so sorry for your loss, Debb. How sad…so young ♥
Of course we can be sisters! But be warned….I like to tease and have fun….and eat sweets. 😉
I have been on WordPress 1.5 years and have been shocked and amazed at the people I have met and the friends I have made ALL OVER the world!!
A wonderful and playful post …. your photos are brilliant – very tempted to phone that number, but from Sweden can it become a bit expensive.
What a shocker call that would be for them from Sweden! LOL! I will call it and let you know who I get!!! 😉
*laughing .. maybe it’s a hot sex line!!!!
oh that would be my luck! 😉
*laughing … good for you – my kind of thinking.
🙂 well stay tuned!
Don’t worry … I will *smile
So, did YOU call the number? I guess we all could, and flood his voicemail box! You are such a romantic. I loved the flutist idea! Great post! :Thanks for sharing! :))
I have not called the number…..but I am going to!!!! Really!! And then I’ll let you know who I get and what they say!!! 😉 But feel free to call as well! ♥
hahaha Like I said, we all should! That would be so funny to get calls from all over the world! Who knew? and you probably weren’t the only one who took the picture!
Well….it was written for the world to see, right? 😉
Yep. Have you called it yet?
Yes I did….no answer….just an automated “please leave your message for”….. so stay tuned! 😉
hahaha I will! 🙂
😉
How nice that you would think to make a musical request to please your husband. His question was a good one, though. 🙂 I love the gorgeous blue skies in these photos, Paula. So lovely!
It was a windy, but gorgeous day….UNTIL….the show had to be shut down early because of tornadoes….and that is life around here. 😉
Hubby was a good sport….♥
What is the blue dome? Looks like a great time!

The Blue Dome District in downtown Tulsa is a historic area centered around this “dome” that was built in 1924. It was a gas station, way back when. Lots of fun!
